Madhya Pradesh’s government will host the ‘Madhya Pradesh Start-up Conclave 2022’ on May 13 at Indore’s Brilliant Convention Centre. The one-day conclave will follow Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement earlier in the day of the state’s Startup Policy and Implementation Plan – 2022. The Prime Minister will virtually launch the state’s new start-up policy before speaking to the Startup Conclave attendees.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch a compendium of start-up success stories from the state at the Conclave.

Entrepreneurs, policymakers, innovators, and investors will be able to meet and discuss ways to collaborate and grow at the Conclave. It will include three sessions: a sectoral session, a start-up expo, and the Prime Minister’s launch of a Madhya Pradesh Startup Portal.

A session on start-up ecosystem support will also be held so that participants can learn about the support services offered by the Madhya Pradesh government to help startups grow. In addition, the Start-up Conclave 2022 will feature an expo of innovation by Madhya Pradesh start-ups.

Madhya Pradesh’s government has released its Startup Policy and Implementation Plan – 2022, with the goal of promoting startups and encouraging entrepreneurs in the state.

Madhya Pradesh’s new Startup Policy is quite different from the previous one. The concept of a “MP Startup Centre” is an important addition to the MP Startup Policy 2022. Previously, the state administration had only one policy in place, but the new policy will work in tandem with the MP Startup Centre. The Startup Centre will have its own office, as well as a head/mentor for each startup and experts in relevant fields who will assist the startup community.

The new start-up policy and the organisation of the Start-up Conclave 2022 in Indore are in line with the Madhya Pradesh government’s goal of making the state a magnet for start-ups by encouraging the state’s youth to pursue their dreams and become job creators. In Madhya Pradesh, approximately 1,800 startups have been established. It is remarkable that approximately 40% of these were founded by women.
