NTPC Green Energy signs MoU with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of renewable energy power parks and projects was signed on May 8, 2024, by NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) and Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT), with the aim of realising NTPC’s green energy objectives and supporting the Government of India’s energy transition efforts.

Under the terms of the MoU, grid-connected renewable energy power parks and projects, including as solar, wind, hybrid, and other energy sources, would be jointly developed in the state of Maharashtra, with a maximum capacity of 10 GW.

On May 8, 2024, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) to jointly develop renewable energy projects totaling up to 10 gigawatts (GW) in Maharashtra.

The MoU outlines the collaborative development of grid-connected renewable energy parks and projects, encompassing solar, wind, and hybrid technologies.
