Nitin Gadkari Unveils ₹1,183 Cr 6-Lane Access-Controlled Road in Goa
Goa’s ₹1,183 Cr 6-Lane Access-Controlled Road is unveiled by Nitin Gadkari.

On NH-166S in Goa, a 6-lane access-controlled road with elevated viaducts is dedicated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari. The road runs from Manohar International Airport to Dhargal. At a cost of ₹1,183 crore, the 7-kilometer project will greatly enhance connectivity to Manohar International Airport, enabling easier and faster travel. It is anticipated that this development would increase tourism, improve multimodal connection, lower logistics costs, and guarantee safer and more efficient traffic flow, which will save fuel and travel time. The project has the potential to boost socioeconomic development in the area, which will improve the standard of living for locals and the local economy.

In addition, Shri Gadkari announced the 4-laning of the Panaji-Belgaum portion of NH-748 and the construction of a 45-kilometer bypass from Wadgaon to the Karnataka border, both at a cost of ₹3500 crore. ₹4000 crore will be spent on this 52-kilometer project.
