Beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nineteenth Street between 43rd Avenue and North Valley Loop/Hay Creek Court in north Bismarck will be blocked to through traffic.
Contractors will begin work on 19th Street renovation. From State Street to 26th Street, 43rd Avenue will remain closed.
The River of Hope facility will only be accessible from 19th Street north of 43rd Avenue. State Street access to the Schilling building will be maintained.
State Street to Century Avenue to Centennial Road will remain the detour route. Businesses along 43rd Avenue North will remain accessible.
Drivers are being encouraged to change their routes and avoid the area until the project is finished in the fall.
Separately, Front Avenue between the Seventh and Ninth Street one-way streets downtown will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday to allow for the installation of a water main. The closure will be in effect for two weeks. There will be no detour.
