NHAI launches ₹1200 cr road widening in Telangana

The National Highways Authority of India has approved the construction of road widening projects in Nizamabad and Kamaredi districts in northwestern Telangana state. The project has an investment of 12 billion rupees and a total length of 151 kilometers. The road construction agency has already started the survey work, and once completed, the land acquisition work will be carried out. Arrangements are being made to construct bypasses where necessary and to complete road construction within the next three years. The National Highway will start from Medak and cross the Nizamabad and Kamaredi districts and pass through Najredi Peta, Elaredi, Banswada, Nasralabad, Varni, Rud Ruhr, Bodan, Wrangell District, Shatapur, Navipetta District, Fakirabad, Basra, Mudor and Bansa. The entire existing road will be widened and rebuilt in three phases. The first phase from Medak to Ellareddy will be occupied and constructed at a cost of Rs 250 crore. Phase 2 road from Ellareddy to Rudrur will cost Rs 300 crore and road from Rudrur to Bhainsa will cost Rs 650 crore
