The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has released tenders for the construction of three separate packages totaling 4,597.57 crores of a six-lane, controlled-access Tharad Ahmedabad expressway in Gujarat. Under the Bharatmala Pariyojna, they are being implemented on the hybrid annuity model (HAM).
At a cost of 1,327.17 crore, the Package-I includes building a six-lane, access-controlled highway from km 0.000 to km 43.500 from Tharad to Khimana. Package II includes spending 1,524.67 crores to build a six-lane, access-controlled expressway from km 43.500 to km 83.500 from Khimana to Diodarda. At a cost of $1,745.73 crore, Package-III entails building a six-lane, access-controlled expressway from km 83.500 to km 127.000 from Diodarda to Udalpur.
