At Chandni Chowk in Pune, the National Highways Authority of India accelerated the demolition of the outdated bridge and the building of the more modern, multi-storeyed flyover-cum-bridge for a price of 1,300 crore.

The current bridge at the chowk must be destroyed in order to permanently alleviate the traffic congestion, according to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Thereafter, the route would have six lanes for convenient vehicular traffic. He has ordered the concerned officials to rectify the land acquisition-related concerns at Chandni chowk so that work on the connected service road can be done concurrently.

The team from Noida was contacted to examine the demolition of the Chandni chowk old bridge as part of the ministry’s exploration of emerging technologies in the construction industry after he reviewed all the active projects in the area. By June 2023, the new project’s construction will be finished.
