On 17.27 hectares of land at Jungpura in South Delhi, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which is carrying out the Delhi-Meerut RRTS project, has planned to construct studio flats. According to official sources, the corporation would erect 149 one-bedroom apartments at the location and utilise the project’s proceeds to fund the smooth operation of the RRTS trains. In this regard, it has requested quotes from businesses interested in managing flats with the intention of acting as a manager of serviced apartments. The ground floor will house communal amenities such a gym, yoga room, dining rooms, and lounge areas, while the upper floors will house leisure activities, a terrace garden, and sitting places.
For the specified period, services will comprise building operation and upkeep, inventory sales and marketing, cleanliness, etc. Jungpura is being built as a transit-oriented development (TOD) zone in a way that ensures the best possible use of land for residential, commercial, business, and recreational reasons with adequate connectivity.
