Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, Madhya Pradesh will start a project to offer tap water to 18 districts, including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Gwalior.
The Public Health Engineering Department in Madhya Pradesh gave its approval to the project, which will cost Rs 11,000 crore.
In accordance with this plan, plans will be made to supply water through tap connections to every rural family in the 18 districts.
In 6261 villages, the initiative would offer access to drinking water to over 9.3 lakh families.
Over 71 lakh rural residents in the districts of Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Chhindwara, Mandla, Khargone, Khandwa, Betul, Sagar, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Datia, and Shivpuri would receive drinking water through these programmes.
