MoRTH to Approve ₹2,800 Cr for Tripura Road Projects

To improve connectivity in Tripura, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is expected to sanction projects totaling ₹2,800 crore. Agartala Eastern Bypass (₹800 crore), Amtali to Tripura Sundari Temple Road (₹1,500 crore), the Ranirbazar to ISBT road (₹400 crore), and the Central Road Fund (CRF) (₹100 crore) were among the eight major projects for the state that were discussed.

In order to promote international trade and tourism, the Chief Minister also talked about plans for a new national highway that would connect Kamalpur to Gandacherra via Ambassa and Amarpur to Sabroom.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is set to approve road infrastructure projects worth ₹2,800 crore in Tripura. The initiative aims to enhance connectivity, boost economic growth, and improve transportation networks across the northeastern state.

The investment will be directed towards upgrading national highways, constructing new roads, and improving existing infrastructure. The development is expected to:
