The 34-km-long Package-2 of the Indore-Edlabad National Highway project is to be completed in the next three years. Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari, informed that the project is planned in 4 packages and work is currently in full swing.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is carrying out the construction of the entire 203-km-long Indore-Edlabad highway NH347BG. The construction of Pacakge-2, which is 34 km long and spreading from Tejaji Nagar to Balwara was on hold due to funding approval.
The minister has also sanctioned ₹1352 crore for the construction of the 69-km-long 4-lane road between Ujjain and Badnawar. It is a part of NH7523, which starts from Kshipra in Madhya Pradesh and ends at Dewas in Chhattisgarh.
