MoHUA approves construction of 3.61 lakh housing units

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has approved the construction of 361,000 units in 17 states/UT under the AHP, Beneficiary-led Construction (BLC) and In-situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR) verticals houses. PMAY-U.

The approval was approved by the Central Sanctions and Supervision Committee (CSMC) of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (city). With the latest approval, the total number of sanctioned houses under the mission has now reached 1.14 million; of these, more than 8.9 million are under construction and 5.25 million have been completed and delivered to beneficiaries.

The total investment under this mission is 752 billion rupees and the central assistance is 1.85 billion rupees. So far, 11.3 billion rupees have been released. CSMC also approved the revision of projects in 14 states/UTs to 374,000 houses.
