Modern Trends in Construction Technology

The India Chapter of American Concrete Institute (ICACI) has decided to hold an in-person conference in early October 2022 to give industry professionals an opportunity they have long needed to meet, discuss, and debate new exciting trends relevant to the construction industry. This decision was made in light of the ongoing management of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The two-day conference, appropriately titled “Modern Trends in Construction Technology,” will take place in Mumbai at the Lalit Hotel from October 6–7, 2022. It will bring together a number of the most important decision-makers from the public and private sectors, as well as designers, consultants, and academics from the building, concrete, and engineering industries.

Conference Convener, Chetan Raikar, noted: “The COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from holding a traditional conference for the last two and a half years. Therefore, we are particularly excited to announce our first international event post the pandemic.

Our conference on ‘Modern Trends in Construction Technology’ will combine the brightest of minds, and give industry professionals an opportunity to collaborate and expand the fraternity with path-breaking advances.”

India Chapter’s parent body, the American Concrete Institute (ACI), is a co-sponsor of the conference, and a host of like-minded technical associations have offered their support.

A special section dedicated to felicitating the winners of ICACI and ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards will be held on Day 01 of the conference.

One of the biggest ACI Chapters, the India Chapter, is in its 43rd year of operation and has had the honour of receiving the “Excellent Chapter” award from ACI for more than 20 years. The India Chapter of ACI has made it a priority to collect, analyse, and disseminate data in order to improve concrete structure and product design, production, use, and maintenance.
