MMRDA plans ₹284.55-cr Bridge in Mumbai

A four-lane bridge connecting Nariman Point and Colaba is being developed by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for a price of 284.55 crore. The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) approach will be used to build the 1.6 km project, which is expected to be finished in two years from the date the contractor was appointed.

Because commuters now utilise Captain Prakash Pethe Marg and encounter traffic congestion at Madam Cama Road, Mantralaya, Fort, and Manora MLA Hostel, the new bridge would serve as a last-mile connectivity for the future coastal road. When paired with existing and future developments like the Eastern Freeway, the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), the Sewri-Worli connection, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, and Coastal Road, the proposed sea link will act as a ring road around Mumbai.
