MMRDA Implements Heat Safety Measures for Construction Workers

Measures have been implemented by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to shield summertime construction workers from extreme heat. As temperatures rise and a severe heat wave alert is in effect for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), MMRDA has made worker safety a top priority.

To give employees a place to relax during breaks, the authority has erected rest shelters close to work areas. Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) is being given out to prevent dehydration, and cold drinking water stations have been positioned all around the locations to encourage consistent hydration.
