The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is prepared to start the construction of a bridge at Mir Alam Tank soon with an investment of 220 crore in order to relieve traffic on the Bengaluru National Highway-Chintalmet route. The bridge will be built for a number of reasons, including reducing traffic congestion and promoting tourism. The project has already received environmental approval, and work is soon to begin. Aarvee Associates Pvt Ltd is responsible for carrying out the construction of the 2.5 km long, six-lane bridge at Mir Alam Tank.
Alam Tank Mir The Mir Alam Tank, which is south of the Musi River, was given that name in honour of Mir Alam Bahadur, the former prime minister of the erstwhile Hyderabad State. Before Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar were built, the tank served as Hyderabad’s residents’ main source of drinking water.
