Megha Engineering & Infrastructures (MEIL) plans to invest ₹21,000 crore in order to build two 4,000 MW pumped storage hydro projects in Maharashtra. The Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, was present when the firm inked an agreement with the Maharashtra Water Resources Department. The projects will be carried out under the build-operate-maintain (BOM) style. They include the Ghosla pumped storage project in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and the Kamod pumped storage project in Nandurbar. It is anticipated that the initiatives would create about 2,500 employment.
