Majlis Park-Moujpur metro corridor gets ₹220-cr funding

In order to ensure the smooth progress of the construction activities of the Majlis Park-Moujpur subway corridor, the Delhi government has approved rupees 220 Crore for the construction of the double-deck viaduct. The upper level has a part of the Majlis Park-Moujpur highway corridor to be completed by the Delhi Metro and the lower by PWD flyover.

In addition, the Government Expenditure Finance Committee also approved 230.6 Crore rupees for the construction of a new building at the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSUT). The Ministry of Public Works is working with the Delhi Metro Corporation to build two double-deck viaducts in the city.

The integrated structure of the Majlis Park-Maujpur subway corridor will connect the proposed Yamuna Vihar and Bhajanpura subway stations. The double-deck viaduct is 20 meters wide and the six-lane Flyover covers the two busy intersections of Karawal Nagar and Ghonda Chowk, and will be completed in two years.
