The five-acre Tidel Park would be built in Madurai at a cost of 600 crores, according to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. In addition to offering the necessary infrastructure for FinTech and information technology businesses, the new Park would significantly increase local job opportunities and spur industrial growth in Madurai. To extend the IT growth to Tier II cities in Tamil Nadu, the state government has also planned to establish Tidel Neo (mini-IT Parks) in Coimbatore, Ooty, Vellore, Tirupur, Villupuram, Tuticorin, Salem, and Thanjavur over time. A special purpose entity would be created by Madurai City Corporation and Tidel to establish this innovative IT Park at Mattuthavani districts of the city gradually.
