L&T and VMware have teamed up to accelerate the adoption of digital infrastructure across industries

Through the incubation of a VMware Centre of Excellence, L&T’s Smart World & Communication (SWC) business and VMware have announced a partnership to accelerate the adoption of digital infrastructure solutions across industries (COE).

To help clients improve the experience and efficiencies across their enterprise networks, the company will offer an AI and automation-driven ‘Intelligent, secure SD-WAN on-demand’ solution.

The VMware suite of products will be used to help clients achieve digital versatility through multi-cloud solutions. The partnership will focus on cloud engineering and disaster recovery innovation to help businesses and enterprises become more resilient.

L&T SWC will also use VMware’s Telco Cloud products to provide clients with unique value propositions via Industry 4.0 solutions across verticals via 5G/IOT/Edge.

“We believe that with the introduction of 5G, the market will see widespread adoption of Industry 4.0 solutions in manufacturing, healthcare, education, and other industries.” “L&T SWC and VMware have teamed up to create a suite of digital infrastructure solutions that will help businesses become more agile, versatile, and resilient,” said JD Patil, whole-time director and senior executive VP of L&T’s defence and smart technologies businesses.

“Through this CoE, we’re bringing our capabilities together to build joint solutions for digital workspace and edge, security, networking, and cloud infrastructure,” said Pradeep Nair, vice president and managing director of VMware India.

SWC uses its technical expertise to solve problems in satellite radio communications, telecom infrastructure, 4G/5G, Industry 4.0 solutions in education, smart cities, and other verticals, cyber security solutions, data centre solutions, and defence communications.
