Electric vehicles (EVs) will be supplied by Kuehne+Nagel and Magenta Mobility for the company’s road logistics operations in India. “The company is actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 33% by the end of 2030 (compared to a 2019 baseline), as part of our Roadmap 2026 and Vision 2030 to become the most trusted supply chain partner supporting a sustainable future.” By 2030, the business wants to have 60% of its own fleet of vehicles be low-emission, according to Chellan Ganesan, Kuehne+Nagel’s Area Manager for Road Logistics, Asia and the Pacific. “This collaboration reinforces our responsibility to protect the environment and presents a significant opportunity to contribute to the growing EV ecosystem in India,” stated Maxson Lewis, the founder and CEO of Magenta Mobility.
The government is putting policies in place to encourage the broad adoption of EVs, such as tax breaks, production-linked incentives, and the construction of charging infrastructure. As part of its active participation in this national commitment, Kuehne+Nagel electrifies its fleet in India, supports regional businesses, and advances sustainable transportation solutions.
