Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI), a subsidiary of Japan-based Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., has achieved a significant production milestone by rolling out its 20,000th excavator at its manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.

This facility serves both domestic and international markets, reinforcing India’s role as a key production center for Kobelco. KCEI is also setting up a new R&D facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at enhancing technology development and product innovation. The facility will focus on advanced engineering solutions and customization for varied market requirements.

Further strengthening India’s position as a key manufacturing and innovation hub for Kobelco. The company supplies excavators to domestic customers and exports to over 16 countries. Other notable developments include the development of two new metro corridors for Gurgaon.
