J&K ready to award ₹3,732 cr urban infra projects

The twin cities of Jammu and Srinagar, which are being developed as part of the Smart Cities Mission, are set to receive $3,732 crore in urban infrastructure projects from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Four projects totaling $1,233.03 crore are currently in the tender stage in Jammu Smart City.

However, 192 projects totaling 3732.18 crore are currently in the work order stage, with 73 projects in Jammu Smart City costing 1,846.94 crore and 119 projects in Srinagar Smart City costing an estimated 1,885.24 crore.

According to data available, 122 projects totaling $3,057.71 crore have been finished as part of the Smart City Mission. Out of these, 66 projects are in Srinagar and 56 are in Jammu. The Jammu and Srinagar Smart City Mission requires the completion of 318 projects totaling 8022.92 crore, according to an official spokesperson.
