Jharkhand Unveils ₹17,600 Crore in Rail Projects

In Jharkhand, the Prime Minister launched and planted the first stone for multiple rail projects worth over ₹17,600 crore. These projects include new rail lines like Mohanpur-Hansdiha and Dhanbad-Chandrapura, as well as the extension of existing ones like Sone Nagar-Andal, Tori-Shivpur, and Biratoli-Shivpur. It is anticipated that these projects would improve rail connections and promote socioeconomic development within the state. Three trains were also flagged off by PM Modi at the event: a long-haul freight train from Shivpur station, the Tatanagar-Badampahar MEMU service, and the Deoghar-Dibrugarh service.
