HPCL to modernize at a cost of Rs 26,264 cr

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation’s Visakha refinery in Andhra Pradesh will cost Rs 26,264 crore to modernize and expand.

Under the Visakha Refinery Modernization Project (VRMP), the refinery’s capacity will be expanded to 15 million t/y from the current 8.3 t/y. The project is scheduled to be completed in FY23.

The modernization and expansion project will enable HPCL to supply Bharat Stage-VI compliant engine fuel.
