ACCESSWIRE / MAY 19, 2022 / TORONTO, ON / Gratomic Inc. (TSXV:GRAT) (OTCQX:CBULF) (FSE:CB82) has begun the next stage of drilling at its flagship Aukam Graphite Project in Namibia. The Diamond Drilling (DD) Campaign began on May 16, 2022, with data and targets gathered from previous reverse circulation (RC) drilling and geophysical surveys, as outlined below.

In November of 2021, the preliminary drilling process that gathered accurate and sufficient data to proceed with further drilling was completed. This was an RC drilling programme with the goal of gathering enough information to move forward with the DD Campaign. In graphite, RC drilling is typically used as an exploratory tool rather than a resource-defining tool, but it clearly delineated the direction and depth of graphite mineralization at Aukam. The DD programme is designed to precisely define the mineralization intersected by the RC drilling campaign.

As a cost-cutting measure, the Company hired SkyTeam to conduct an electromagnetic airborne geophysical survey of the main areas of interest to further refine targets. In April of 2022, the survey was completed.

Gratomic has commissioned our in-house mining engineering team to design and build a road up the side of the Aukam mountain to accommodate DD teams and later be used as an access road for further exploration and development over the last four months.

This data will be used to complete the technical reports that are currently being prepared at Aukam in accordance with the provisions of NI 43-101, particularly the geology report, which is intended to define resources. The geology report was written by an independent QP (qualified person) for the Company.

Gratomic is a global corporation with operations in Namibia, Brazil, and Canada. The company is working to establish itself as a leading global graphite supplier and to secure a strong position in the EV battery supply chain. Gratomic distinguishes itself by seeking out unique top-quality assets around the world, as evidenced by the continued development of its flagship Aukam project and further exploration on the Company’s Capim Grosso property. True to its roots, the Company will continue to investigate graphite opportunities with development potential. On the 2022 TSX Venture 50TM, the Company was ranked third among the top ten performing mining stocks.

Large quantities of high-quality vein graphite have been shipped to be tested for anode material viability. Gratomic believes the test results will give it a distinct competitive advantage in its target markets. The Company will keep the public informed about the progress of these tests and will release results as soon as they are available.

Forge Nano and the Company have formed a collaboration agreement. This collaboration with Forge Nano, which has a patented ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) coating, is a key element in supporting Gratomic’s strategies for value-added phases of graphite production for anode applications, such as micronization, spheronization, and coating, making Gratomic graphite a preferred choice for use in lithium-ion batteries.
