Govt targets ₹5.48 Lakh cr projects under Sagarmala

More than 800 projects of around ₹5.48 lakh crores have been identified for implementation under the Sagarmala initiative. Projects include modernization of existing ports and terminals, new ports, RoRo & tourism jetties, enhancement of port connectivity, inland waterways, lighthouse tourism and industrialization around ports.

14 projects related to development of new ports with an estimated investment of ₹1,25,776 crore are part of the Sagarmala Program. These projects are spread across coastal states/Union Territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu.
