GMDA launches work on Rampura-Pataudi road

The Gurgaon Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has started to revamp the main road, Rampura-Pataudi Road, which connects the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and Pataudi Road. This key link is used by most of the new sector residents and has been in disarray for years.

The entire section will be upgraded with an investment of Rs 670 crore on service roads, drainage systems, green belts, cycle paths and footpaths. The road was never designed for heavy vehicle traffic and now the agency will rebuild the main six-lane carriageway so that it can withstand heavy traffic from Pataudi, Manesar, Jaipur and Delhi.

GMDA Executive Engineer (Infrastructure One) Amit Godara informed that construction would be carried out in stages to avoid traffic congestion, but the agency hopes to complete it within 12 months.
