German Minister Geywitz, Bavaria’s PM Söder & Mayor Reiter to Inaugurate bauma

Bauma, the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, building materials, mining, and construction equipment, will take place in Munich from April 7 to 13. The event will be inaugurated by German Minister for Housing Klara Geywitz, Bavaria’s Minister President Dr. Markus Söder, Munich’s Mayor Dieter Reiter, and Messe München CEO Stefan Rummel.

The focus of bauma is on future guidelines for the industry: digitalization and sustainability. The five key topics will be brought to life in the supporting program and through exhibitors’ innovations: climate neutrality, alternative drive concepts, networked construction, sustainable construction, and the mining challenge.

The number of innovations being presented at bauma shows the movement in the industry and how committed are to further development. Wirtgen is presenting 45 world premieres this year, while Doka brings 30 new products and a 30-meter-high scaffold tower. Volvo Construction will be represented at bauma for the first time with a wide range of purely electrical, emission-free machines.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed six loan agreements worth ₹11,181 crore with the Government of India to support sustainable development across various sectors. The 90th meeting of the Network Planning Group (NPG) convened today to evaluate infrastructure projects in the Road, Railway, and Metro sectors.
