GDA plans two new Metro Lite routes in Ghaziabad

For two metro projects in Ghaziabad, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) intends to create a detailed project report (DPR). The projects include metro routes that use Metro Lite to connect Mohan Nagar Metro Station with Vaishali and Noida Sector 62 Metro Station with Sahibabad.

A feeder system for the city’s present metro lines, Metro Lite is proposed urban transit system with a reduced estimated ridership.

When the DPR is finished, it will be submitted to the state government for funding and approval. In comparison to Metro, Metro Lite has a reduced per-kilometer cost of roughly Rs. 150 crores. About 8,000 passengers per hour per direction (PHPDT) travel on Metro Neo, while about 15,000 do so on Metro Lite. As a result, Metro Lite  being considered a better option.
