Approximately ₹6728.33 crore has been set aside by Shri Nitin Gadkari for the construction of eight segments of the NH-913 (Frontier Highway) in Arunachal Pradesh. The project is to promote socioeconomic advancement and improve connections to border regions. It is anticipated that the building of the Frontier Highway will deter migration and encourage reverse settlement toward the border districts of Arunachal Pradesh. These highway sections will also connect important river basins, which will make it easier for the state to establish a wide range of hydroelectric projects.
