In Gujarat, work on building the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train’s track is underway, with track construction bases established close to Surat and Anand. Now that more over 35,000 MT of rails have arrived, the viaduct’s flash butt welding has started. The project, which is the first of its kind in India, uses the Japanese Shinkansen J-Slab ballastless track technology. It is backed by cutting-edge equipment and specialist training provided by Japanese specialists to Indian engineers and technicians.
