The gas station will have a 4,000m2 footprint and be situated next to Souq Al Baraha with views of Marassi Al Bahrain.
The new station, which will feature six gas pumps and the capacity to serve 12 vehicles at once, as well as a number of additional amenities including an auto service centre, retail shops, and ATMs, is made to offer integrated services to all visitors.
According to a statement from Diyar Al Muharraq, the station is an important addition to the extensive list of services and facilities that the newly finished Souq Al Baraha project offers to the locals and visitors of the neighbourhood.
According to Bapco, Souq Al Baraha offers commercial and recreational amenities in a setting that is historic and true to Bahraini culture.
Since Ramadan, Souq Al Baraha has opened its doors to guests in a limited capacity so they can enjoy browsing the stores and boutiques held by prestigious Bahraini and Gulf brands as well as international businesses that were drawn to the Seef Properties-run project.
The CEO of Diyar Al Muharraq, Ahmed Ali Al Ammadi, made the following statement at the signing ceremony held at the company’s headquarters: “At Diyar Al Muharraq, we maintain a keen focus on offering a variety of services and facilities that effectively meet the needs of our residents and visitors alike. By offering an integrated community with all the amenities needed for modern living, we work to improve their daily lives.
Along with other important officials and executives, it was attended by Engineer Jassim Al Shirawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Tazweed, and Engineer Khalid Al Tayyar, General Manager of Bapco Tazweed.
As stated by Al Ammadi, “We are happy to be partnering with Bapco Tazweed to create the city’s first gas station, which will be a major addition to Diyar Al Muharraq’s line-up of services, strategically positioned to enable easier access to all parts of the city.”
In order to further diversify the national economy in line with the accomplishments of the 2030 Vision, he continued, “This is in keeping with our ambition to establish a future ready, fully integrated metropolis.”
The agreement, according to Al Shirawi, is a significant turning point in the company’s history as it represents a firm step towards our company’s objective of working closely with the private sector to develop and build gas stations in accordance with the directives of HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of Nogaholding, and with the support of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dainah
He also praised the Souq Al Baraha administration for their assistance in advancing this important initiative.
Al Tayyar claimed that Bapco Tazweed’s action is consistent with its goal of establishing gas outlets around the kingdom. “This gas station will serve the residents and visitors of Diyar Al Muharraq as well as those who live in the surrounding areas,” he said. “It will accommodate multiple types of gasoline, including Super, Mumtaz, Jayyid, and Diesel, as well as providing a variety of additional services.”
In addition to improving resident amenities, the station will also relieve demand on other gas stations. We’ll keep providing the Kingdom’s citizens, residents, and visitors with strategically placed gas stations that they can readily reach, no matter where they are, to suit their needs,” he added.
