Despite turbulent waters ahead, ONS construction production for September 2022 shows growth.

ONS analysis of construction output in September 2022 shows considerable growth in the face of tumultuous economic forecasts. Monthly output increased 0.4% in volume terms, which is the third consecutive month of growth. September 2022 also shows the highest level of output (£15,125m) since records began. However, price increases remain above double digits with September coming in at 10.1% compared to August’s 9.8%. The sector must address acute supply and demand imbalances to address ongoing labour shortages.
