An all-female staff is in charge of Delhivery Logistics Services’ Moga hub in Punjab. An entirely female crew will oversee all hub activities, including inventory management, truck loading and unloading, and BOPT (battery-operated pallet truck) operations. Additionally, women-only security and housekeeping staff have been assigned to provide round-the-clock support for the facility.
According to Suraj Saharan, Chief People Officer and Co-Founder of Delhivery, “the young women recruits, who are between the ages of 18 and 30, have received targeted training on procedures, shipment handling, critical metrics, and Delhivery systems to set them up for success in their new roles.”
The organisation provides dependable transportation connectivity, which is beneficial for the ladies who work three shifts and live within a 6 to 9 km radius of the plant.
In just three years, the number of women working for all of our operations facilities has increased five times. The next two women’s operations facilities will be opened by the company in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, he continued.
