Decks cleared for ₹75,000 cr international port in Nicobar

On 16,610 hectares of pristine forest on the Great Nicobar Island, the Union government has approved spending of Rs. 75,000 crore for the development of a greenfield international port, an international container transshipment terminal, a city, and power plants.
