A detailed plan for managing the city’s green areas, including parks, central verges, trees, biodiversity parks, and the Yamuna floodplain, has been released by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). To guarantee consistent maintenance, adaptable staffing, and timely planting of seasonal or other saplings, this creative project will be overseen by a single, knowledgeable firm.
More than 800 separate assets, including seven biodiversity parks, conserved forests, the Yamuna riverfront, green belts, golf courses, and sports complexes, are under the management of DDA’s horticulture department, which also looks after more than 10,000 acres of green space throughout the nation’s capital. It is also in charge of maintaining millions of trees in parks and along roadsides.
