At IIT Gandhinagar in Gujarat, the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has released a request for bids to develop student dormitory structures and related facilities. As a component of Phase-2A, the project included the construction of a dining hall (B+G+2), a sub-station (G+2), and 12 hostel buildings (G+4) with rooms for single, double, and triple occupancy. In addition, it includes substation equipment under EPC (Mode-II), exterior development works, lifts, UPS, CCTV, street lighting, overhead and subsurface water tanks, pumps, and internal electrical installations, as well as firefighting and alarm systems.
The contract, which has a value of ₹162.48 crore, will be finished in 24 months, with three months allocated for planning, design, and approvals and 21 months for work execution and completion.
