Consider undertrials with sympathy: PM Modi at the conference of law ministers

According to PM Modi, the administration has eliminated 32,000 compliances over the past eight years to make life easier. At the All India Conference of Law Ministers’ opening session on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi noted that certain states still adhere to legislation from the colonial era.
At the All India Conference of Law Ministers and Law Secretaries’ opening session on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the need for ongoing legal reforms to get rid of antiquated laws and expedite trials. According to PM Modi, the administration has been working tirelessly to eliminate pointless legislation for the past eight years in an effort to make life easier. 32,000 compliances have also been eliminated during this time.

PM Modi urged the conference of state ministers to take a review of the numerous pointless pre-Independence laws that were in effect and are still in many states in order to achieve ease of living and ease of justice. According to PM Modi, “Delay in justice is one of the issues, and this issue is being treated seriously.” He mentioned Gujarat’s nighttime courts and how they relieved the judiciary of some of its burdens.
