101 commercial and 53 residential properties will be up for auction by the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB). The Manimajra and southern sectors are where most of the properties are located. The interested clients will have plenty of time to submit an application for the electronic bidding to buy commercial and residential properties. Additionally, the CHB wings have organised for potential buyers to tour the properties.
101 commercial properties will be auctioned off, 99 on a leasehold basis and the rest on a freehold basis. Depending on the size, area, and location of the property, the reserve price and earnest money will change. However, all 53 residential properties will be sold through an online auction on a freehold basis. Thirty of them are brand-new, and for the remaining ones, it will look for buyers after the previous auction produced no takers. In order to encourage more bidders, the authority has also lowered the 15% reserve price for leasehold commercial properties.
