In Jammu & Kashmir, the civil aviation ministry has announced airport projects totaling 2,361 crore.

With an expenditure of 861 crores, a civil enclave airport will be developed in Jammu, while 1,500 crores will be spent to extend the terminal of the airport in Srinagar.

The ministry intends to increase the availability of helicopters in J&K. The “Heli Policy” and the employment of helicopters in emergency medical services have already begun. The year-round migration of tourists to Jammu and Kashmir’s picturesque locations has the potential to expand the heli-tourism industry there.
