Union Minister of Road Transport Nitin Gadkari met with Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai to talk about infrastructure projects that will improve connectivity and spur economic growth. New national highways with direct connections to Ayodhya were among the proposed improvements to the accessibility of tribal communities. Under the Central Road Fund, CM Sai proposed two new highways: Kawardha-Rajnandgaon-Bhanupratappur-Antagarh-Narayanpur-Gidam-Dantewada-Sukma and Raigarh-Dharamjaygarh-Mainpat Ambikapur-UP border. He also requested clearance for 13 projects totaling Rs. 1,383 crore. There was also talk about plans to designate an 11-kilometer bypass as a national highway and to upgrade the current highways. Gadkari pledged his complete support for their endeavours.
