The bridge connecting Andheri and Goregaon directly has been designed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in Mumbai. The civic organisation has developed a plan of action to construct a 500 metre long, four lane bridge over Goregaon Creek for the price of Rs. 418.5 crore, with a 36 month completion time.

Utilizing cable-based technology, the steel bridge will be lit. From Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar in Goregaon, it will travel to the intersection of BEST Colony Road and Maulana Ziauddin Bukhari Road. The Western Express Highway and the New Link Road would see less traffic congestion as a result of the reduced journey time, while Oshiwara, Jogeshwari, and Andheri East will have better connectivity. The bridge’s construction had previously been put up to bidding, but now the authorities have chosen to build it out of stainless steel to substantially reduce maintenance expenses. The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority and the Environment Department permission processes will shortly be initiated by the BMC, which will also soon name a consultant for the project (MCZMA).
