BigBloc Building Elements Gets ₹27 Cr Subsidy for AAC Blocks Project

Bigbloc Building Elements Pvt. Ltd., a fully owned subsidiary of BigBloc Construction Ltd., is among the leading producers of aerated autoclaved concrete (AAC) blocks, bricks, and panels in India. The company has been granted eligibility for a ₹27.14 crore subsidy under. The Phase 2 subsidy will be additional to the current subsidy and will be independent.

The project’s Phase I will get a total allowable subsidy of ₹27.14 crores over a ten-year period beginning on May 1, 2023. The Industrial Promotion subsidy can be used to obtain a 100% SGST exemption on sales in Maharashtra, interest subsidies, a 10-year exemption from paying electricity duty, and a three-year power tariff discount.

Bigbloc Building Elements Pvt. Ltd. established a 2.5 lakh cubic meters per year capacity of the AAC block in Palghar, Maharashtra, to complete the first phase of the Wada Project in April 2023. The business started construction on the second phase of the Wada AAC blocks factory in Palghar, Maharashtra, in December 2023. It is anticipated that this phase will be finished in the first quarter of the 2024–2025 fiscal year.

Phase 2 of the project will see the Wada plant’s production capacity double from 2.5 lakh cubic meters per year to 5 lakh cubic meters per year of AAC blocks. Following phase 2’s completion, Wada’s annual output capacity will reach 5 lakh cubic meters. When operating at full capacity, the Wada factory is anticipated to bring in more than ₹160 crore annually.

With an installed capacity of 8.25 lakhs cubic meters annually, BigBloc Construction Ltd., which was founded in 2015, is one of the biggest and only publicly traded companies in the aerated autoclaved concrete (AAC) block space. The manufacturing facilities of the company are situated in Wada (Palghar) .
