Big names win spots on £6bn ‘pro-social’ construction framework

Construction giants Morgan Sindall and Galliford Try have been appointed to a £6bn deal to provide work across the north of England. The 17-lot Rise Construction Framework can be used by public bodies for the next four years.

The UK’s first pro-social construction framework, Rise, has been replaced by a new contractor. Morgan Sindall secured spots on both the general construction and refurbishment lots of the £600m deal. Each lot is expected to provide work totalling more than £500m.

Galliford Try was named for general construction, as well as civil engineering and highways work. Eric Wright and Seddon both won places on four lots. Client bodies will be able to access the framework for projects across the north west of England, North Wales, Yorkshire and the Humber.
