Bengaluru’s anti-encroachment campaign was resumed, and six structures were taken down.

It’s been a while since Bengaluru’s anti-encroachment campaign was last carried out. But it was resumed yesterday, and six structures were taken down. This is a good step towards cleaning up the city and making it more livable. Let’s hope that this campaign is carried out more regularly from now on.

142 constructions that were built on stormwater drains have been discovered, out of which 131 are anticipated to be removed in this phase of the anti-encroachment drive, the BBMP stated. “Eleven of the 142 encroachments that have not yet been removed are court-related. The statement read, “Necessary procedures are being taken to carry out the eviction of storm water drain encroachments, and survey work is being carried out in conjunction with the eviction of 131 encroachments.

On the other hand, the BBMP destroyed two structures, three sheds, and a compound wall on Thursday that were reportedly constructed over stormwater drains in the Mahadevapura area.
