Bengaluru gets ₹404 cr flyover projects

To reduce traffic in Bengaluru, the Karnataka government has approved Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike’s proposal to construct new flyovers and upgrade existing ones at a cost of 404 crore. For new flyovers, the BBMP has previously filed a thorough project report. The city now has 44 flyovers, and new projects for the Ittamadu.

JC Road, Sarakki, and West of Chord Road flyover projects have been approved. These developments will cost 230 crore, and the rest money will be used to upgrade seven flyovers. The work must be finished in 18 months. The “Amrut Nagothana” scheme of the state government is being used to carry out the development work.

The JC flyover will be a fascinating project once it is finished since it will function similarly to the City Market Flyover in that it will allow for double-sided traffic flow. According to the DPR, the BBMP will invest 130 crores.

Sarakki Junction to Kanakapura Main Road, 40.50 crores for the Ittamadu to Kamakya Junction, 30.64 crores for the Basaveshwara Nagar to West of Chord Road, 20.64 crores for the JC Road to Hudson Circle, and 40.50 crores for the Ittamadu to Kamakya Junction.
