BDA floats tender for PRR road on PPP model

The 74 km long, eight lane Peripheral Ring Road (PRR), which connects Tumakuru and Hosur roads, is being built under a public-private partnership model by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). The design, build, finance, operate, and transfer model will be used to build the project. It is being worked out how to acquire land and implement.

revenue-sharing modules with private partners. 2,560 acres, according to the authority, must be purchased for the project. Prior to this, the BDA had cancelled the first tender due to technical issues and issued a new one without changing the terms and conditions. According to BDA Commissioner Rajesh Gowda, the previous tender process was cancelled because investor companies wanted more time to research the project’s viability and conduct a land survey.
