Azure Power, an independent Indian sustainable energy solutions provider and power producer, has signed an Expression of Interest (EoI) with the state of Karnataka to develop solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 1700 MW. A total of Rs 13,300 crore has been committed to the project.
Azure Power and the government of Karnataka, represented by G Kumar Naik, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the state energy department, signed the EoI at the Windergy India 2022 event.
Azure Power has a presence in Karnataka and owns and operates nearly 2900 MW of renewable energy assets across India.
