K N Arun Nehru, son of municipal administration minister K N Nehru, has pledged to actively work towards the development of railway infrastructure and connectivity in Perambalur.

Arun pledged to improve rail services in Trichy city, addressing the long-standing demand among party functionaries and cadres at the entry point in Samayapuram.

The speaker believes they have the opportunity and responsibility to contest in Perambalur, as the general election is crucial for safeguarding people’s rights and ensuring state resources are allocated.

Arun, despite holding only primary party membership, expressed gratitude to the chief minister for entrusting him with the candidacy and promised to unveil promises tailored to each assembly constituency, focusing on healthcare and job creation.

Arun has initiated efforts to advocate for Perambalur’s demand for rail connectivity with the railway ministry, stating that the population is low and plans to work with the next government at the Centre. His first task is to bring the railway station.

Arun’s arrival was met with enthusiasm from party cadres, who even arranged for an elephant to welcome him, and DMK district secretaries, showcasing the party’s united support.
